Martin ’attended’ Harrow Art College, many moons ago – it’s a bit hazy, but he thinks he specialised in photography.
Certainly his early creative career was as a photographer, nearly a decade specialising in travel photography and work within the music industry, with clients as disparate as the Philharmonia Orchestra, and the Northern Territories Tourist Commission, and photographing such legends as Honor Blackman, Yehudi Menuhin and errr… Pat Boon. But when he was chased through an African village by a psycho turkey from hell, to the extreme mirth of the locals and losing all jungle cred, he decided it might be time to try something else…
In 1995 he finally worked out how to turn on a Mac and started working with prestigious London advertising agency DMB&B as a multimedia producer for their below-the-line arm IMP.
At IMP, he worked with a succession of blue chip clients, including designing and producing the 1st ever transactional interactive TV service for WHSmith, designing multilanguage CDROMs for Compaq, designing and programming CDROM presentations and sales tools for Coca Cola, Mars, Ericsson, Texaco, The Australian Tourist Commission, BT, FIAT, Barclays, Coutts, and Six Continents Hotels, using very early versions of Flash and Director. He also designed WHSmith’s first ever web site, created one of the most successful banner ad campaigns ever for Epson printers and was instrumental in setting up a new interactive media creative department within the agency.
In 1999 He moved to the highly respected Hub Communications, working as Creative Head.
As well as running a studio of 20 designers and programmers, Martin was creatively responsible for all of Vodafone’s online content and in-store touchscreen kiosk and plasma screen content for nearly 2 years. He also headed up the creative teams responsible for EGG banking’s interactive TV service on SKY, Somerfield’s Web and Interactive TV services, and Pokemon banner campaigns and websites for Nintendo and British Gas.
In early 2002, Martin moved to head up Binamic, and with a portfolio of diverse and quality work for companies such as Cable & Wireless, Cisco, BT, SKY, Energis, GlaxoSmithKline, Halfords and Vodafone, Martin is justifiably proud of the achievements of the binamos, and the steady growth of the company.
Client Quotes
Binamic were recommended to me by one of my colleagues in the industry because we were having trouble getting our existing web developers to make our visions a reality. Binamic have been awesome from the start. They understood exactly what I was talking about, and the answer to my (sometimes difficult) questions has always been “No problem”.

My website has all the functionality that I wanted it to have. They are always available to answer questions and, so far, support has been second-to-none. Furthermore, from first enquiry to completion took just a couple of weeks. Even better was that fact that it didn’t break the bank! I’m absolutely delighted and will have no hesitation in personally recommending them to anyone.
