Martin Hill - Binamo#1

Martin Hill

Martin is the founder of Binamic.

He 'attended' Harrow Art College', many moons ago - it's a bit hazy, but he thinks he specialised in photography.

Certainly his early creative career was as a photographer, nearly a decade specialising in travel photography and work within the music industry, with clients as disparate as the Philharmonia Orchestra, and the Northern Territories Tourist Commission, and photographing such legends as Honor Blackman, Yehudi Menuhin and ...er... Pat Boon. But when he was chased through an African village by a psycho turkey from hell, to the extreme mirth of the locals and losing all jungle cred, he decided it might be time to try something else...

In 1995 he finally worked out how to turn on a Mac and started working with prestigious London advertising agency DMB&B as a multimedia producer for their below-the-line arm IMP. At IMP, he worked with an infinitude of blue chip clients including designing and producing the 1st ever transactional interactive TV service for WHSmith, designing multilanguage CDROMs for Compaq, designing and programming CDROM presentations and sales tools for Coca Cola, Mars, Ericsson, Texaco, The Australian Tourist Commission, BT, FIAT, Barclays, Coutts, and Six Continents Hotels, using very early versions of Flash and Director. He also designed WHSMith's first ever web site, created one of the most successful banner ad campaigns ever for Epson printers and was responsible for setting up a new department within the agency.

In 1999 He moved to the highly respected Hub Communications, working as Creative Head. As well as running a studio of 20 designers and programmers, Martin was creatively responsible for all of Vodafone's online content and in-store touchscreen kiosk and plasma screen content for nearly 2 years. He also headed up the creative teams responsible for EGG banking's interactive TV service on SKY, Somerfield's Web and Interactive TV services, and Pokemon banner campaigns and websites for Nintendo and British Gas.

In early 2002, Martin formed Binamic - and now in it's 4th year, Binamic is perfectly poised. With a portfolio of quality work for clients such as Cisco, BT, SKY, Energis, Glaxo Smith Kline, Martin is justifiably proud of the achievements of the binamos, and is salivating with anticipation of what the future holds. Or maybe he just dribbles anyway...

Tim Freeman - Binamo #2

Tim Freeman

Tim actually has a degree in Digital Arts, don't you know! He is the 'chief engineer' of binamic and is a master of all things Flash, PHP and database. He has that rare, binamic combination of creative and technical mastery!

He joined Binamic in 2002 , and has been behind projects as diverse as designing and programming online games for SKY, creating product demos for BT, and designing and programming the gloriously original premier crew wines virtual sommelier web site.

Don't ever leave a phone message with him and expect it to get through though...

Andy Pearson - Binamo #3

Andy Pearson

Andrew is a relative newcomer to the fold, joining Binamic in 2005. He is also the first Binamic employee under 6'4" - a tactical decision after we got accused of being heightist by the equal opportunities commission.

Andrew is your archetypical code combatant and is bang up to date with all the latest web standards and trends.

We wouldn't say he is obsessed, but he brings his lunchtime sandwiches in two lunchboxes - one containing the bread, and another CSS box, which contains details of what should be in the sandwich...

Judy Thomson - Binamo #4

Judy Thomson

Judy Brings a level of organisation to Binamic that we never thought was possible.

She is responsible for the smooth running of the office, with a broad range of talents from bookkeeping to producing iced buns for the team at unexpected moments!

She even uses a pen and paper - like, how mad is that?

Giles - Head of Security

Our latest recruit is Giles the Labrador.

Not only does he fiercely protect our intellectual property , he also successfully converted our office into a wireless environment by eating all of our network cables...
